I spent many years as a consultant in various guises so when Huma Khan asked me to work with her on her sales consultancy website, I was pleased to touch base with that dynamic, creative and driven world again. Huma created SalesPsych to support people working in sales with their wellbeing because it can often be an incredibly stressful environment, even when you are performing well. I liked the wellbeing angle as it is an issue that I and many of those close to me have struggled with. I have also seen first hand how stress at work can affect a person’s health, wellbeing and performance.
Huma already had a strong brand which was a good place to start from and we worked a bit on refining what SalesPsych is really about and what it wants to do. As part of this I created a simple video for the header on the homepage as Huma wanted potential clients to see something really impactful and inspiring that embodied SalesPsych’s philosophy.
Since Huma is the main person who delivers all of SalesPsych’s work and updates the website, I wanted to make sure I built a back-end that suited her needs. This included giving her editing control of the overall look of the website since she had been frustrated by the limitations of templates in the past. She also wanted to create a shop for new products she had just developed. I built a WordPress site using Elementor which has superior editing ability and includes Woocommerce shop building tools. As part of my work for her, I also built in a training session so she could feel confident taking the website forward by herself.
Huma’s site is an ongoing project as she continues to develop her brand and messaging, and I was pleased to be a part of that journey. You can see where she has taken SalesPsych now by going to https://salespsych.co.uk.
