Website

I am a huge geek when it comes to film and I love photography, so you can imagine my delight when film company Robin Creative Media approached me to create a one-page website for them centred around their sister project, Our Hampshire. I was particularly excited to get involved with this because it focuses on the area I live in and is composed of a local collective of passionate filmmakers and photographers who love to showcase Hampshire, with all the great things you can see and do living here.

Building on this positive vibe, I took inspiration from the colourful logo that Our Hampshire already had and created a fresh, friendly and approachable website that tells you everything you need to know about Our Hampshire. With film and photography being central to the project, a showreel of their best work takes pride of place at the top of the page to wow users as soon as they open the site. Social media is also central to the project so I placed an infographic showing Our Hampshire’s reach high up on the page. Direct feeds showcasing the beautiful film and photography on their Instagram page also takes up a good chunk of the page, with easy to find and clear ‘follow’ links.

The long-term plans for the Our Hampshire website is to generate new, niche, localised and online business for Robin Creative Media. I ensured that this sustainability was built into the back-end of the site by creating a wordpress multi-site which can be administered through the same portal as the main Robin Creative Media website. This allows for greater efficiency when updating both sites, whilst enhancing their ability to easily expand the size and functionality.
